After the success met on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, it's now time for YouTube to launch its new Stories tool. The company announced Friday that it would allow some influencers to publish time-limited videos only on the social network.

The tool is officially presented on the page of the creators of the company. Always in beta, the novelty follows in the same way as other similar social networks. In other words, the user produces a short video of up to 15 seconds and makes it available on the network.

Unlike other services, the duration is from one day, but from one week. The idea is that the content engages users with comments and sharing during this time. Thus, unlike what happens in Instagram, for example, where the answers of Stories are directed only at the creator, here is a chat with interactions open to all users.

According to the official article, stories only appear on mobile platforms via the YouTube app. With this, the company has also updated the presentation with a tab only dedicated to this display, which shows not only the content of the channels followed by the user, but also the most watched.

The user can also subscribe. a channel directly via the Stories tab.

One does not expect how long the tool should stay in the beta, but YouTube promises to "constant updates" to adjust the possibilities.
