Endometrial cancer is formed in the cells of the uterine lining. Because it causes abnormal bleeding, this disease can be detected early. One way to remove endometrial cancer is to remove the uterus through surgery. However, before this procedure, doctors can remove a small piece of uterine tissue and examine it for the presence of cancer cells.
