Any sexually active woman is at risk for cervical cancer. However, thanks to Pap and HPV tests, the number of new cases and deaths from cervical cancer has decreased since 1950. Although this cancer is more common among women who smoke, all women aged 21 and over have to submit to one or the other tests.
